StoreDot, an Israeli start-up specializing in nanotechnology, has just raised $ 42 million from unknown investors. Last April, she presented at the Microsoft Think Next Conference a prototype charger which charges a smartphone in 30 seconds.
“This capital injection will support our innovation and allow us to market both the fast charging battery for smartphones and our BioLED display (technology)” explains Doron Myersdorf, CEO of StoreDo.
On its website, the company explains that its technology is based on the “discovery of a new generation of nanodots self-assemblies of biological origin ”. “Nanodots are bio-organic peptide molecules that change the rules of the capabilities of mobile devices”.
