1 million euros for Cowash’s collaborative laundry service

by bold-lichterman

Cowash, a collaborative home laundry service, raises 1 million euros from business angels members of Provence Business Angels. The Parisian startup had already raised 200,000 euros in 2018.

Founded in 2017 by Adrien Hugon, Cowash is developing a home laundry service for individuals. Presented as an alternative to traditional dry cleaners, Cowash connects its users with individuals called “cowasher” who collect users’ laundry and bring it back washed and ironed within 48 hours.

Present in Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Lille, Nantes and Toulouse, Cowash wishes to continue its growth in France by positioning itself in six additional cities. The Parisian startup claims 40,000 active users on its platform and aims to reach 200,000 by 2020.

In France, other players have positioned themselves in the home laundry service. We can cite the Modern Lavoir which however differs from Cowash since it takes care of washing and ironing the laundry in its own workshop. Le Lavoir Moderne raised 5 million euros in 2019.
